How We Work

We don't charge for our initial phone or email discussion about your potential project, and we have several levels of consulting options outlined below for how to proceed from that point on.

	Consultation package from $145 provides a two-hour one time visit with one of our design professionals for an average lot within 35 km of our office in Calgary, Alberta. Our associate will discuss your needs and wishes, in accordance with the information you have provided, and suggest ways to implement your ideas. You receive hand drawn concepts with overall design recommendations.
	Basic Design package from $495 starts with our Consultation package, plus measurements and photos of the site where possible. Back at our office, a scaled concept drawing is created and you will receive two computer generated renderings in the mail. Approximate time frame is 2 - 3 weeks for the concept renderings.
	Project Planning package from $895 includes the Basic Design package with an anticipated three visits to your home and/or planned site to verify details during the process. Upon completion you will receive a detailed cost estimate for your project based on current market prices, detailed construction drawings of your proposed project, a materials list, and an estimated schedule for completion. 1st visit- our associate visits your property to discuss your needs and wishes, in compliance with your questionnaire, and to do a site analysis (measurements and site evaluation). Back at our office, a scaled concept drawing is created and emailed to you to give you an opportunity to look over and contemplate changes. 2nd visit- our associate meets with you to discuss concerns and changes to the original concept plan. At our office, the design is then detailed and construction plans are completed. 3rd visit- We bring out your completed project planning package and provide an explanation of procedures for commencement. Approximate time frame is 3 - 4 weeks for the project plan.
When you are ready to roll...
Based on our discussions with you about your project a timetable is drawn up and we begin the process of implementation accordingly. Home Fyres only uses certified trades-people and all projects are subject to regulatory approvals including development and building permits as required. All mechanical installations are permitted and inspected where required. Most average sized projects will be completed within eight weeks, contingent on appropriate weather, product availability and approvals. Although Home Fyres can arrange an outdoor kitchen or fire feature any time of year, an outdoor project intended for summer use should be commencing no later than March - April, and the time to be working out the details is during the early part of the calendar year.
